Recordings
Andy Eulau’s performance abilities are documented on more than thirty CD releases. These include one with Grammy Award winner Bill Charlap, three 4-CD sets with NEA Jazz Master Anthony Braxton, four CDs for Grammy nominated arranger and vocalist Pete McGuinness, two CDs with Latin-jazz composer and flutist Andrea Brachfeld, and one with trombone icon Roswell Rudd in collaboration with the great Puerto Rican cuatro player Yomo Toro.
Performance Experience
While residing in the New York City area Andy gained extensive experience playing Classical, Jazz, Latin-Jazz, Brazilian Jazz, Blues and R&B with New York musical luminaries such as Ray Barretto, Ray Vega, Bobby Sanabria, The Village Vanguard Orchestra, The BMI Jazz Orchestra, Diane Moser’s Composer’s Big Band, Junior Mack Band, Clarence Spady Band and too many others to list here. He’s performed at concert and club venues in NYC and on four continents. He also worked in Broadway and Off-Broadway Musical Theater for twelve years.
Honors
Andy is proud to have been selected by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the United States Department of State as part of “Freddie Bryant and Kaleidoscope: The String Project” to represent the United States of America in North Africa, the Middle East and India as a Jazz Ambassador. He was also honored to play for the very first annual “International Jazz Day” celebration with Bobby Sanabria’s Quarteto Aché, featuring NEA Jazz Master Candido Camero and Shiela E at the United Nations in NYC.
